The Gospel in Four Simple Points
God made everything good. People broke that friendship by doing wrong. Jesus died and rose to fix it. Anyone can accept this free gift by faith.
1. God Made It
- God created the world and every person to live in a joyful, close friendship with Him.
- He is good, loving, and cares deeply for everything He made.
2. We Broke It
- People chose to go their own way instead of obeying God.
- This choice (called sin) created a wall between us and God, bringing hurt and death.
- We cannot fix this wall by our own good deeds.
3. Jesus Fixed It
- Because God loves us, He sent His Son, Jesus.
- Jesus lived a perfect life, never doing wrong.
- He took the punishment we deserve by dying on the cross.
- Three days later, He rose from the dead, proving He defeated sin and death.
4. Our Response
- God offers us forgiveness and eternal life as a free gift.
- We receive this gift by turning away from our wrong choices and trusting Jesus as our Savior and Lord.
What is Released Time?
Released Time is an elective class where public school students are allowed (with parental permission) to leave school campus and attend a Bible class (at no cost to them). Check with your students guidance counselor for more info on how to sign up. Visit pcreleasedtime.com for more info. Currently there are 6 programs in Pickens County, all five middle schools and Daniel High School.
What is FCA?
Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a time before school where students can enjoy a time of worship through song and meet with other believers for a brief devotion. What is Teens For Christ
TFC is a time before school when any student , at no cost to them, can join other Christian students to learn scripture verses, be taught Biblical principles that are relevant to their lives as well as a brief devotion, closing in prayer.
Gettys meets in the auditorium at 8:00 - 8:25 on Wednesday mornings, check your school for times and availability.
